Cryogenic 195L Industrial Dewar Flask

As a low-temperature thermal insulating pressure vessel, welded insulating gas cylinders are mainly used to store and transport liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid carbon dioxide, liquefied natural gas, and can automatically provide gas continuously. The gas cylinder is designed as a double-layer (vacuum) stainless steel structure, and the inner tank is used to store low-temperature liquid. Its outer wall is wrapped with multi-layer thermal insulation materials, which has super thermal insulation performance. At the same time, the sandwich layer (the space between the two layers of containers) is pumped into a high vacuum, which together forms a good thermal insulation system.

If the gas flow rate is larger, connect several gas cylinders in parallel to a main pipeline or connect an external vaporizer to solve the problem, so as to avoid insufficient gas supply and damage to gas cylinder parts.

Organ Transplantation: Enables cryogenic transport and storage of organs, skin, and bone tissues, extending preservation time for successful transplantation.

Cryosurgery: Stores LN2 for treating skin conditions (warts) and early-stage skin cancers by destroying abnormal tissue with extreme cold.

Medical Equipment Cooling: Provides continuous cooling for MRI scanners and other precision medical devices.

Food & Beverage Industry

Flash Freezing: Uses LN2 for rapid food freezing, preserving texture, nutrients, and freshness better than traditional freezing methods.

Beverage Chilling: Smaller dewars are used in bars and restaurants for long-lasting cooling of beer, wine, and specialty beverages; ideal for making liquid nitrogen ice cream in molecular gastronomy.

| Operation & Safety Guidelines

Safe Handling Practices

Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear antifreeze gloves and goggles when operating to avoid frostbite from direct contact with cryogenic liquids or cold metal surfaces.

Ventilation Requirement: Operate in well-ventilated areas to prevent oxygen displacement and suffocation risks from evaporated gases (e.g., LN2).

Filling & Dispensing Operations

Check Vacuum Integrity: Before filling, inspect the outer wall for abnormal frosting; large-area thick frosting indicates vacuum failure, requiring immediate service.

Controlled Filling: Fill cryogenic liquids slowly to avoid thermal shock; do not exceed the maximum filling capacity specified for the liquid type.

Secure Connections: Ensure liquid filling & taking flow line connections are tight to prevent leaks during dispensing.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular Cleaning: Clean the outer wall periodically to remove dust and debris that may block exhaust pores.

Vacuum Inspection: Routinely check for abnormal frosting to verify vacuum performance; contact the supplier if vacuum failure is suspected.

Cap Protection: Keep the bottle cap closed when not in use, even if empty, to prevent moisture and impurities from entering and causing internal freezing.

Corrosion Prevention: Avoid storing in corrosive chemical environments to protect the stainless steel structure.

Transport Guidelines

Short-Distance Movement: Use a special trolley and secure the dewar flask firmly to prevent tipping.

Upright Position Requirement: Always keep the flask upright during transport; never dump, roll, or lay it horizontally.

Stair Handling: Require two personnel to operate with a special carrying rack or trolley when moving up/down stairs; do not carry alone.

| Production Process

Stainless Steel Fabrication: Inner and outer bodies are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel via precision cutting and forming processes.

Multi-Layer Insulation Installation: The inner body is wrapped with 25 layers of thermal insulation materials to enhance heat resistance.

Vacuum Sealing: The sandwich layer between inner and outer bodies is evacuated to high vacuum using professional vacuum pumping equipment, ensuring long-term insulation performance.

Component Assembly: Installs pressure building coils, liquid filling & taking flow lines, safety valves, pressure gauges, and rupture discs to form a complete system.

Leak & Pressure Testing: Conducts airtightness testing and pressure testing to ensure no leaks and compliance with working pressure standards (1.4MPa to 2.88MPa).

Quality Calibration: Calibrates pressure regulators, level gauges, and safety devices to ensure accurate operation and reliable performance.

Final Inspection & Finishing: Performs a comprehensive quality inspection, applies anti-corrosion treatments, and labels product specifications before packaging.

| FAQ

What are the main hazards of operating a 195L Dewar Flask?

The primary hazards are frostbite and suffocation. Prevent frostbite by wearing antifreeze gloves and goggles; avoid suffocation by operating in well-ventilated areas to prevent oxygen displacement from evaporated gases.

Is it normal for the outer wall to frost?

Slight frosting near the neck tube or bottom for newly filled flasks or in high-humidity environments is normal. However, large-area thick frosting (especially on the upper half) indicates vacuum failure—stop use immediately and contact the supplier.

How long can liquid nitrogen be stored in the 195L Dewar Flask?

Thanks to its superior insulation, the flask can store LN2 for extended periods with minimal evaporation. The exact storage time depends on ambient temperature, but daily evaporation loss is extremely low, supporting long-term use in remote or intermittent applications.

Can the dewar flask be used for both liquid storage and gas supply?

Yes, it is designed to store cryogenic liquids and automatically provide continuous gas supply. For higher gas flow rates, multiple flasks can be connected in parallel or paired with an external vaporizer.
