YDZ-175 Self-pressurized Liquid Nitrogen Tank is a high-performance cryogenic storage and transport device independently developed by Zhonghuo, with an effective capacity of 175L and dimensions of 706×1260mm. The tank features a net weight of 98KG and a full weight of 238KG, working pressure ≤0.1MPa, and a daily evaporation rate of only 1.10%. It adopts a self-pressurization technology that vaporizes a small amount of liquid nitrogen inside the tank to generate pressure for automatic liquid discharge, eliminating the need for manual pouring or external pumps. Made of high-quality austenitic stainless steel, it has a high-vacuum insulation structure, ensuring excellent low-temperature preservation performance and suitable for various scenarios requiring liquid nitrogen supply and storage.
The self-pressurization system enables automatic and continuous liquid nitrogen discharge, realizing single-person operation and greatly improving work efficiency. It can not only store liquid nitrogen for a long time but also serve as a mobile cold source for on-site liquid supply.
The tank adopts a double-layer stainless steel structure with a high-vacuum insulation interlayer and multi-layer insulation materials, which effectively reduces liquid nitrogen evaporation loss. The daily evaporation rate is as low as 1.10%, extending the storage duration of liquid nitrogen and reducing user operation costs.
Equipped with braking casters at the bottom, it can be easily moved in laboratories, factories, and other spaces. The product line covers capacities from 15L to over 1000L, with vertical and horizontal models available, meeting the needs of small laboratories to large-scale industrial production lines.
It can be equipped with a liquid nitrogen tank monitoring terminal and monitoring software, realizing remote transmission of liquid level, pressure, and other data. It supports remote alarm for low liquid level and overpressure, as well as manual remote pressurization and liquid supply control, ensuring safe and intelligent operation.
It is used for long-term preservation of biological samples such as vaccines, cells, bacteria, viruses, animal organs, human stem cells, and blood. The -196℃ deep low-temperature environment maintains the biological activity of samples, which can be thawed and reused when needed.
As a stable cold source, it provides continuous liquid nitrogen supply for laboratory equipment such as freeze dryers, solving the problem of low efficiency of manual liquid replenishment and ensuring the stable operation of experiments.
Liquid nitrogen from the tank is used for deep cryogenic treatment of metal materials, which can optimize the metallurgical structure of metals, significantly improve hardness, strength, and wear resistance, and facilitate interference fit assembly of precision parts.
It is used for long-term active preservation and long-distance transportation of semen from valuable breeding stock such as cattle and sheep, as well as rare animals, providing strong technical support for artificial insemination and breed improvement programs.
Check the tank shell for dents and cracks, and ensure the vacuum exhaust port is intact and the interior is clean and dry. For new or idle tanks, inject 1/10 of the total capacity of liquid nitrogen for pre-cooling, and wait until the boiling subsides before full filling.
Wear cryogenic-resistant gloves (cotton gloves are prohibited), safety goggles or face shields, and long-sleeved lab coats with ankle-covering pants during operation. Operate in a well-ventilated area to prevent oxygen deficiency caused by nitrogen gas accumulation.
Use a dedicated funnel or transfer tube to inject liquid nitrogen slowly along the inner wall to avoid splashing. Do not fill beyond 80%–90% of the total capacity to leave space for liquid expansion and gas evaporation.
Minimize the lid-open time to less than 30 seconds per access to reduce nitrogen loss and temperature rise. Use baskets to lift and lower samples steadily, avoiding collisions with the neck tube. Wipe the exterior with a dry soft cloth; rinse the inner liner with 40–50℃ warm water and air dry completely for long-term storage.

Material Selection: Select high-quality austenitic stainless steel for the inner liner and outer shell to ensure corrosion resistance and low-temperature resistance.
Tank Body Fabrication: Form the inner and outer shells through stamping and welding processes, then assemble them with multi-layer insulation materials and vacuum interlayer.
System Installation: Install self-pressurization booster coils, valves, pressure gauges, liquidometers, and other components, and debug the automatic liquid discharge function.
Vacuum Treatment: Conduct high-vacuum pumping on the interlayer to ensure excellent thermal insulation performance of the tank.
Testing & Certification: Carry out pressure testing, leakage testing, and evaporation rate testing, and issue qualified certificates after passing all tests.
Liquid nitrogen is non-flammable and non-explosive. However, if the tank is sealed or the pressure relief valve fails, vaporized nitrogen will expand 700 times, causing tank rupture. Always use certified tanks with functional pressure relief devices and never seal the tank mouth.
Wear full-set cryogenic PPE including cryogenic gloves, safety goggles, and long-sleeved lab coats. Avoid direct contact between skin and liquid nitrogen or the tank's inner wall.
Pre-cool the tank with 1/10 capacity of liquid nitrogen first, wait until the boiling stops, then fill slowly along the inner wall, and control the filling volume within 80%–90% of the total capacity.
