The DJ10 series is a DN10 manual straight-through globe valve specifically designed for portable cryogenic insulated cylinders (Dewar bottles / welded insulated cylinders), mini-bulk cryogenic tanks, and various cryogenic pipelines. Its core purpose: providing reliable manual on/off control for cryogenic liquid and gas filling, supply, venting, and line shut-off at temperatures down to -196°C.
1. Portable Cylinder Liquid Fill
As the liquid fill port valve on Dewar bottles (typically model B1), it connects to the tanker filling hose and controls the flow of cryogenic liquid from tanker to cylinder. Opened at the start of filling and closed upon completion — it is the first and last manual control point in the entire filling process.
2. Mini-Bulk Tank Vent Valve
As the top vent valve on mini-bulk cryogenic tanks (typically model B2), used for:
Pipeline purging before initial liquid filling
Manual pressure relief when tank pressure is too high
Gas phase venting during tank emptying for maintenance
3. Liquid Supply Line Shut-Off
As the main liquid supply valve on Dewar bottles or mini-bulk tanks (typically model B3), it connects to downstream vaporizers or end-use equipment, controlling cryogenic liquid supply to the consumption point. Kept open during normal gas usage; closed for cylinder replacement or maintenance.
4. Other In-Line Shut-Off Applications
The DJ10 series is equally suited for general shut-off in various cryogenic pipelines:
Manual isolation of pressure-building vaporizer circuits
Single cylinder isolation in parallel cylinder banks
Sampling line shut-off
Instrument line primary block valve
The DJ10 series is a manually operated screw-lift straight-through globe valve, where handwheel rotation drives the stem-disc assembly axially up and down to control cryogenic medium flow. Sealing is achieved by a PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene) soft seal disc mating with a metal seat.

Comment & FAQ
1: Can the DJ10 globe valve be used for both gas and liquid phase media?
A: Yes. DJ10's PCTFE seal and HPb59-1 brass body are compatible with both gas and liquid phases of LNG/LO2/LN2/LAr. The same B2 model can serve as a gas output valve, vent valve, or pressure-building valve — the only difference is external piping; the valve body itself is identical.
2. Does the mini-bulk tank vent valve need frequent operation? How to maintain it daily?
A: The vent valve is a low-frequency operation valve, but precisely because it sits idle for long periods, two issues can arise: stem packing adhesion from prolonged idle causing high initial torque → recommended to fully open/close once monthly to maintain lubrication; debris or ice crystal buildup at the seat → periodically open for a few seconds to purge.
3. What should I note when using DJ10 as individual cylinder isolation valves in parallel cylinder banks?
A: Each cylinder's supply outlet MUST have a check valve to prevent backflow from other cylinders if one valve is accidentally closed. When replacing a single cylinder: close its B3 → vent residual liquid from short pipe → then disconnect. In parallel systems, all cylinders should use the same B3 model for flow consistency.
4. Any special requirements for LOX service with DJ10?
A: Valves are factory-cleaned to LOX standards — use directly from packaging, never re-expose to oil/grease. Installer gloves and tools must be oil-free. Pipelines must also be degreased before welding. PCTFE seal material is inherently LOX-compatible with no combustion risk. NEVER use standard lubricants, thread sealants, or oil-containing PTFE tape near LOX valves.
