| Application Overview
The DYZ06C series cryogenic combi-pressure regulator integrates a pressure build-up regulator and an economizer into a single compact valve body for liquid cylinders and mini-bulk cryogenic containers (both static and transportable). A bronze-diaphragm / stainless-steel-spring force-balance mechanism autonomously senses tank vapor pressure and cycles the pressure build-up circuit to hold the operating pressure within the set range — no external power or pilot gas required. Compatible with air gases, vapors, and all cryogenic liquefied gases (LNG / LO₂ / LN₂ / LAr, etc.). Factory-cleaned and degreased per CGA G-4.1 for liquid oxygen service. Compliant with TSG 23 and GB/T 34530.1. All models feature copper alloy (brass) body, dual SS springs, bronze diaphragm, and PTFE soft seat, with a temperature range of −196°C ~ +85°C and a maximum inlet pressure of 507 PSIG (3.5 MPa).
| Working Principle
The DYZ06C is a self-operated diaphragm pressure regulator (no external power required). The core mechanism: the bronze diaphragm's lower chamber communicates with tank vapor pressure, while its upper chamber is resisted by an adjustable spring (Spring 8). The diaphragm, via the stem (5), is linked to the disc (3) — which controls the PB circuit (PB IN → PB OUT) with a PTFE seat (4) ensuring positive cryogenic shut-off. The EC OUT port draws vapor directly for downstream supply when tank pressure is adequate, implementing the economizer function.
The build-up → shut-off → economize → rebuild self-regulating cycle runs entirely on force-balance physics — zero human intervention, zero external control.

Comment & FAQ
1: Which model should I choose — C1, C2, C3, or C4?
A: Match to your tank's design working pressure. If unsure: common lab 50L--180L LIN Dewars → C1; industrial welding 160L--240L LOX/LAR Dewars → C2; mini-bulk tanks or LNG fueling tanks → C3; high-pressure or specialty gas tanks → C4. Not sure? Send us a photo of your tank's nameplate — our support team provides free selection assistance.
2. DYZ06C or DYZ06A — which one to buy?
A: Same platform, identical specs. DYZ06C is the current main-channel model; the A series is a legacy-compatible variant. If your installation already has a DYZ06A, the C series is a direct drop-in replacement — identical dimensions and connections.
3. Do I need to adjust the pressure myself after purchase?
A: No. It ships preset to your chosen model's set pressure (e.g., C2 defaults to ~300 PSIG). Do not loosen the locknut on first use. If fine-tuning is needed (e.g., lowering a C2 from 300 to 250 PSIG): loosen locknut → turn screw counterclockwise slightly → verify on tank gauge → relock. Never adjust beyond the model's rated range.
4. Do I need a professional to install it?
A: Can I do it myself? Installation involves tightening three NPT 1/4" connections — technically straightforward. But critical: PB IN must connect to the tank bottom liquid line — connecting it to the vapor line renders the PB function completely ineffective. For LOX service, the valve is factory-degreased; wear clean gloves and avoid any contact with grease or oil. If inexperienced, have your gas supplier or a qualified cryogenic technician handle it.
5. How long do the seals last? Can I buy spares?
A: Under normal operating conditions, the PTFE seat and diaphragm last approximately 2~3 years, depending on cycle frequency and media cleanliness. Frequent cycling or impure media reduces seal life. We offer a seal service kit (PTFE seat + diaphragm + static seals) sold separately. We recommend ordering one kit alongside each valve purchase as a spare.
